Spring 2013

Some hints of the spring runway shows are already given out. Today we gonna check out some of them. Miu Miu, Louis Vuitton, Alexander McQueen, and Channel.

Miu Miu gives us lots of fur, nude color especially the strong earthy pink, and the cat-like sun glasses.

Louis Vuitton shocks our eyeballs by extremely bright yellow to provoke the eagerness of the new start of the year. The designer emphases the geometric shapes like square and rectangular. Like Miu Miu, Louis Vuitton also gives the earthy colors lots of attention.

You can absolutely tell this is the show of Alexander McQueen even though you just have one glance of the show. Look at that shady hat, those holes on it create the stunning British drama of calling back to 17c or 18c. If you carefully observe those dresses, you can easily tell the details are familiar from the history and also, are changed by the designer through new inspirations and cloth-techniques.

This is the show I enjoy mostly and surprise me thousands of time. Pearls, glossy fur, feather, huge plastic hat, wheel-like handbag, Lego-shaped handbag, and tons of mix of the materials.

2012 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show is coming!

While the show doesn't air until December 4th on CBS, the live event took place at New York's Lexington Armory on Wednesday, November 7. Even though there was a furious snowstorm outside, forty of the world's top models made their way down the runway wearing lots of feathers, sequins and not much else during the hour-long spectacle.

Rihanna sang her single "Diamonds" in a floor-length, high-slit black dress, topped off goggle-looking sunglasses, long gloves and a garter belt. She returned later in the show wearing a decidedly more low key look: Sheer pink short dress, pink ankle boots and a pink long sleeve sweater tied around her waist.

Beginning in 1995, Victoria's Secret began holding their annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, which is broadcast on primetime American television. Starting with the 1995 fashion show they are "a combination of self-assured strutting for women and voyeuristic pleasures for men—and lingerie becomes mainstream entertainment." This involves a lavish event with elaborate costumed lingerie, varying music, and set design according to the different themes running within the show. The show attracts hundreds of celebrities and entertainers, with special performers and/or acts every year.

By 2011 the budget for the fashion show was $12 million up from the first show's budget of $120,000.

Giorgio Armani, and his innovations.

He still doesn't speak English, though. And he believes the original power of human hands and also the creativity brought from them.

Giorgio Armani, born 11 July 1934, is an Italian fashion designer, particularly noted for his menswear. He is known today for his clean, tailored lines. He formed his company, Armani, in 1975, and by 2001 was acclaimed as the most successful designer to come out of Italy, with an annual turnover of $1.6 billion and a personal fortune of $7 billion as of 2012.

Armani was the first designer to ban models with a body mass index (BMI) under 18, after model Ana Carolina Reston starved herself to death due toanorexia nervosa.

Armani broadcast his collection live on the Internet, a first in the world of haute couture, on 24 January 2007. The Armani Privé Spring/Summer 2007 fashion show was broadcast via MSN and Cingular cellular phones.

After LG teamed with Prada to introduce the LG Prada phone, Samsung joined Armani to design the Giorgio Armani phone.

Armani has designed many stage outfits for pop superstar Lady Gaga, including those worn on her record breaking Monster Ball Tour and Born This Way Ball Tour. And to many high-profile award shows, such as the 52nd Grammy Awards and the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards

Carine Roitfeld, a new french icon

Hard to believe this lady is a grandma! The former EIC of French Vogue — and longtime muse to Tom Ford — ushered in an extreme, sexy style that Roitfeld herself dubbed, “porno chic.” These totally audacious, NSFW images not only increased the magazine’s circ numbers during a recession but landed Carine in the style hall of fame as someone always willing to push the envelope.

Carine Roitfeld, born September 19, 1954, in Paris, France. Editor in Chief of CR Fashion-Book (as of 2012), was the editor-in-chief of Vogue Paris from 2001 to January 31, 2011. A former fashion model and writer, she announced her resignation on December 17, 2010; she was succeeded by Emmanuelle Alt.

Does high fashion follow the Halloween?

It's a question.
When we are searching for the cheapest price for a total serious Halloween look, is there any thoughts coming up to your mind, which is, does the high fashion follow the Halloween? Does they give a big attention on this child-to-adult holiday?
Yep, the answer is absolutely YES.

Of course, they probably won't highlight the creepy latex-made make-up that much. Instead, they focus on the quality of the whole-look. Not too over, not too far. But still, shows the essential spirit of the Halloween. Some classic characters such like cat lady, robber, witch, etc. grab lots attention from those designers.

If you are a Pinterest user, you can explore more pictures about High Fashion Halloween, whose are from a lady name Laurel Messina. Click her name here and you can enter her picture world to enjoy more!

Halloween Make-up

Trying to be outstanding in your Halloween party? It's not that difficult.
This week we are going to check some tricks about Halloween make-up.

Before I give you the video list, there are some summary for you to figure out if you think the video is too long or so.

Tools:
Of course, you need everything related to your character. Doll, zombie, walking dead, and so on and you probably need to find out some eyelashes, zips, pins, and don't forget LATEX and glue. Let's call latex a super tool here.It can cover your skin, make you a perfect scar, also, protect your skin from glue and others wired things.

Points:
Everything you need to do is making your make-up a real but scared look(actually everyone tries to be scared, so....).
Painting skills. It sounds very professional but it's not. Remember, from bottom layer to the top one, from dark color to the light or the highlight one, and the essential one is the gradual change of your make-up color.

OK. Now, let's watch some good tutorials video from Youtube.com

Fashion industry is a fast running one, from trends----you can easily find that Spring/Summer 2013 is already on runway shows, however you are still living in the time and space of fall 2012; also models, young and fresh, star hunters explore all over the world searching the unforgettable face whose age may be  still in the box of teenager one but already worked couple years for fashion. So trying to be remembered is a big topic. I figured out a interesting article from Vogue features which talked about kind of disability which hardly distinguishes faces, even of which who is sitting besides you for half hour chatting with you!
